Toot-Toot Tutoring
We offer 1:1 Tutoring , Homework Help, IEP Support, Home School Support, Home School STEM, as well as Spanish classes to students Pre-k - 5th Grade.
Our "Homework Buddies" program allows for you as a parent to be able to sit back and relax as we take the worry out of your hands. Our staff will use scaffolding when helping with homework to help your child confidently and as independently as possible master their task. Leave homework to us in our stress-free learning environment so that home can be a place for play and family time.
Our “1:1 Tutoring Sessions” are individualized to meet the needs of each of our little learners. Our highly qualified staff can work on one known specific area of need until mastery or if you don’t know where to start, we can create a learning plan to help get them on the right track. The benefit of our 1:1 sessions is that it allows for our tutors to identify and adapt to individual learning styles, help overcome academic obstacles, and provide crucial reinforcement to ensure a student thrives both academically and personally. In our calm and personal environment with a low student to staff ratio, our tutors are able focus on your child's specific individual needs and can move at their own pace, which isn't always possible during the school day.
Our tutoring center also offers flexible day time hours for our home-school community. If you need a little extra help teaching your child in reading, spelling, or in math, “Home School Support” is exactly what you need. You have the option to allow our tutors to take a subject or a few off of your plate while we provide our curriculum in-house. Our home school support services are offered in either a 1:1 personal session or “family style” allowing two family members to attend the same session with one tutor.
Our tutoring center also offers “IEP Goal Support” for our Special Education community. This session allows us to focus on helping your child succeed by focusing on the goals that matter most. We have staff who have experience working with students with special needs and they can help your child get the extra work they need on their IEP classroom goals. School may not always have enough time to target their goals as frequently or as deeply as the child truly needs due to the student to staff ratio and other environmental factors in the classroom. Tutoring allows for a full session to be all about them with no distractions. This session is helpful for our students because it allows more time to reinforce strategies, helping the student to master skills faster and more solidly. Tutoring for IEP goals is a great idea because it provides a safe place to practice these skills so that they can not only perform in the classroom, but generalize these skills confidently across other environments and in day to day life.
Our tutoring center also offers “Spanish as a Second Language” for beginners. We are excited to provide an opportunity like this to our community. Children learn language faster and easier at a younger age. This will be offered both during the daytime and evening hours. Your child may take one Spanish class each week. Spanish has never been this fun! Your child will explore and learn new skills each week where every lesson is an adventure filled with music, movement, stories, and interactive fun! What a treasure it is to be able to give your child the gift of language!
Our “Home School STEM Class” is offered during the daytime hours every Friday. Are your kids curious, creative, and ready to build, discover, and experiment? Our STEM class is the perfect place for young learners to dive into science, technology, engineering, and math through fun, hands-on activities they’ll be excited to talk about all week! Give them the “Fun Friday” they have been needing to take their learning to the next level. This class encourages problem solving, teamwork, creativity, and allows for wriggly and curious learners to thrive!
